TO ALL COACHES
.
Q1: Both educators and learners at our school lack the technical ability to design a working website. What do we do?
A1: The best solution is to find an Assistant Coach who has the knowledge and is willing to transfer his/her skills to the team. Remember an Assistant Coach could be a parent, from industry – in fact, anyone.
Q2: Any hints for winning?
A2: Study the Evaluation Criteria carefully. 30% of the marks go for Diversity, Collaboration and Citation. With a bit of planning, those are easy marks to get..
- Select the team for diversity – including overseas members
- Choose a topic which contributes to a better society
- Choose a topic with international significance
- Study the ThinkQuest Library
Q3: How do we find a team member overseas?
A3: Send the details of your team to the ThinkQuest office in S.A. and we will try to find a match overseas. Information needed:
- Coach
- Coach e-mail
- Topic
- Age group
There is no guarantee that a match will be found.
Q4: Is any training available?
A4: At present none, but there is a possibility of training in some major centres. Regretfully, the ThinkQuest Office has to remain neutral, and cannot provide any assistance.
There is also a very comprehensive Q&A available on the international website.
